Though I’ve been published in Regency Romance under the pseudonym Valerie King–and yes roan of my Regency Novellas features a vampire–one day I woke up knowing I had to create my own contemporary world of the warrior vampire. The writing style, while not as dreadful as Ward’s, still managed to sound horribly choppy at times. I liked the characters and overall storyline. It’s not at that level yet, but it has the potential to be, I think, for cagis. And for those of you who have read my reviews on KMM’s series, this was a “I don’t think I can continue past mile 1 on the elliptical” for me.
Ascension took me a while to read, when I typically devour most paranormal romances. A wicked beat had the ladies gyrating rkane the men putting their hands everywhere. Be ready for a fun filled action packed read. I couldn’t believe that an experienced author would write like this. This is about the Warriors of the Blood.

There was a sort of world dictionary in the back of the book, which would-‘ve been nice to know about before hand but it wasn’t terribly helpful either.
