I’ve been messing around with this material for years and keep finding out little things like this. Hcop blind, but have perfect pitch. As I watch round five example four, in the last bar Frank seems to make a flub at least in the half-time close-up shot.
Since writing out fingerings in a post is laborious gxmbale confusing at best, I do have Skype and could meet you there. Frank may switch fingerings mid-bar in anticipation of whatever comes next. The 80’s was a grim time.
Incidentally, I highly recommend buying this video. I will ffank check this later today, but a good fingering for the last bar as best I can tell is: If anything, it should definitely help one get their alternate picking together — this from the master of sweep picking.
This change also frees his ring finger for the very next triplet D on fourth string, fifth fret. But, even knowing which notes Frank is playin gand exactly where he is playing them, I can’t figure out a workable fingering for this exercise.
I had no idea about switching fingers mid-exercise in anticipation.
