All of this leads to some of the themes of this book, which involve both disappearance and Atxaga. All this helped by his discussions with Morante. In this book it is disappearance. Inevitably, disappearance covers a wide variety of concepts for our narrator, as he muses on the concept, goes off on all the usual tangents docyor expect from Vila-Matas and comes back again.
